This is the brightest 14500 flashlight you can get, as well as the most feature-packed and the price is very, very, very good.
One thing I did not like about it is the finish, You can tell they cheaped out on the finish. Is it a bad finish. no. Could it be better as in more durable, absolutely. But it is defiantly not a deal-breaker. The light could come with no finish at all and it would still be a great buy.
The UI is complex but once you figure it out it's easy to get it down.
It has a great throw and a nice large hotspot so its a great all-around use light.
I would love to see this flashlight offered in maybe a couple of different colors as well as with a true type 3 anodizing. The anodizing it comes with is not type 3.
But that is just nitpicking. Overall this light is a 5/5 all night long.

Excellent quality, fit and finish beyond reproach, 3D tint very pleasant, I actually have no quibbles. Bought it as part of the OL tribute, which was an added benefit. Only downside is that it made me wish for a thrower head for my BLF A6, which uses a similar driver. I highly recommend this light.

This is now my edc. Although the interface takes a bit of playing with to get the way you want, you can customize this and make it perfect.
Only downside is that my old-ish batteries (keeppower) are quite tight in the tube. Not a big enough deal to knock it down even 1/2 star, though.

I have had my Kronos X5 for just one day. It is amazing for such a small and convenient sized flashlight. This is my first Li-ion 14500 powered light and I had received some of those batteries just a few days ago in readiness for the arrival of this light.
It comes with a pocket clip, which I have removed as I like it to sit in my pants pocket, and not my shirt. If you keep it on a bench/table you may want to keep the clip in place to prevent it rolling.
Spoil yourself (or a friend) and buy one of these.

This X5 is well finished, easy to use and all around a really great little light. The threads are well machined, nicely lubed, and smooth. One additional nice touch is that the driver and even the switch assembly are held in with a brass lock ring. That is a nice touch of quality. I was surprised that it came with an extra tail cap and lanyard.
VERY NICE LIGHT!!!!

This little guy is hands down the brightest single LED 14500 light out there. It has a driver with a somewhat complex UI, but once you figure it out it works so well. You can go forwards or backwards in the modes, so no more blinding light in the middle of the night.
The finish on mine was perfect. No problems with the driver or switch retaining rings, connections are perfect. The lighted tailcap is a bonus, if you have never used one... that alone is very handy.
The light has a very intense hot spot for such a small unit. This is due to the XP-L HI and a very deep reflector for such a small light.
If you are looking for a WOW light that is very useful as an EDC, this is it. I own the original and I own this new production unit and would not give them up.
